The Church's Godliness

Oct 4, 2026  •  Pastor Jose Prado

What does it actually mean to live a godly life, and where does that kind of transformation really come from? In this message drawn from 1 Timothy 3:14-16, we are confronted with a question that cuts to the heart of our faith: why should the church pursue godliness, and how do we actually get there? The answer is not a list of rules or a self-improvement program. It begins with identity. We are God's household, the church of the living God, and the pillar and buttress of truth. These are not titles we earn but declarations God has already made over us. Our behavior flows from who we already are in Christ, not the other way around. When we truly grasp that we carry the Father's name, that we gather before a living God and not a lifeless idol, and that our lives are meant to hold up the truth we proclaim, everything changes. Godliness stops being a burden and becomes a natural response to the reality of who we belong to. This message invites us to stop striving from the outside in and start living from the inside out.
